Birding Uganda 14 Days

Uganda is the birdwatchers paradise as it offers a profuse menu of birding opportunities across the country. Described as a hidden Eden, a wonderland for birds, the country is blessed with phenomenal avian diversity dwelling in places from the vast open plains to the deep forest corners. Uganda boasts of a bird list of 1066 recorded species and three endemic bird areas.

No other country in Africa can match Uganda’s diversity of habitats and this richness is reflected in the ever burgeoning bird list of over 1,050 species including the shoebill, the herons, the olive-chested sunbirds and endemic species like Chapin’s Flycatcher.
On this birding safari allow us the pleasure and privilege of showing off the avian beauties of our country, Uganda, “The Pearl of Africa” as we watch the shoebills in the swamps, the endemic endangered species like Shelley’s Crimson Wing , sunbirds and kingfishers on the lakes, forest dwellers like the beautiful black collared lovebird and many more.
