And, from the lush green Impenetrable tropical forest dwellings of the mountain gorillas in Bwindi to the exquisite islands of Lake Bunyonyi known as “ the Switzerland of Uganda. ” You will see it all!

Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary + Top of Falls

Set off at 07:00AM for a 6 hour drive heading north-west of Uganda. Arrive at the Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and see the magnificent rhinos at close proximity. Follow in the footsteps of a guide to the shrub lands where the rhinos reside, and spend time observing these magnificent giants.

Break for lunch before proceeding through the forest to the top of Murchison falls to see the breathtaking sights of the River Nile, thunderously roaring down the narrow impasse as the sun sets in the background.

Arrive at the southern end of the park in time for dinner and an overnight stay at the.

Day 2: Big Game Safari and Boat Ride to the Bottom of the Falls

Awaken early to start an early morning game drive down winding dust roads surrounded by a sea of savannah and look out for the night dwellers including the leopards, lions, hyenas which, with a little luck, we will see before they retire to their dwelling places. As the afternoon sun heats up, watch herds of buffalo bathing in the mud, galloping antelopes, grazing hartebeests, elephants, giraffes, warthogs and waterbucks.

After the game drive, break off for lunch and then head for a launch cruise on the Nile in the afternoon. Sail to the bottom of Murchison Falls as you enjoy the unique sights of the aquatic wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards and aquatic birds like the kingfishers, African darters, African skimmers and various storks among others.

Return to the Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3:Transfer to Fort Portal town

Awaken early and start a 6 – 7 hours’ drive to the western part of Uganda. Enjoy scenic views of the crater lakes in Fort Portal before arriving in the town where you will spend the night.

Day 4:Transfer to Rhino Sanctuary

Arise early for an early morning breakfast then embark on a 6 hour drive to Mweya Peninsula in Queen Elizabeth National park. Have a lunch break en route.
Enjoy an evening game drive as you watch the buffalos, elephants, lots of antelope species as they graze in the evening hours. With luck some of the cats like the lion, leopard may be seen during your evening game drive. Head to your accommodation for the night.

Day 5:Transfer through Ishasha Sector to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Arise early for a morning game drive through the remote beautiful Ishasha sector where the famous tree climbing lions live. On the drive enjoy the chance of seeing more game including elephants, buffaloes and antelopes. Proceed to the pristine Ishasha sector where luck, tree climbing lions can be seen in close proximity.

Arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the late afternoon. Unwind in the peaceful forest side lodge as you prepare for the action filled day of gorilla tracking.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Arise early for breakfast and thereafter head to the park office at 08:00am for briefing with the ranger guide. Thereafter head into the lush rainforest following the guides’ lead. The guides will walk you down the narrow forest paths through thick undergrowth, with the bird sounds in the background as you search for the gorilla families.

Tracking can take between 3-8 hours. However, once found the experience of watching these incredible primates in their natural habitat is well worth every ounce of energy expended on the tiring forest trails. It is most advisable for trackers to be in good physical condition before embarking on the trails.
Get in close proximity with the gorillas as you quietly observe these pacific primates in their natural habitat. Gaze into the beastly eyes of these humble giants and watch them strip branches off trees to eat, groom and play. Packed lunched is offered during the day.

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi

Awake at your leisure, have breakfast and embark on a 2 hour journey to Lake Bunyonyi. Spend the day relaxing in the idyllic setting of lake Bunyonyi where you can swim, take canoe rides around the river or hike in the highlands.Unwind and Enjoy dinner at a hilltop lodge with magnificent panoramic view of the lake.

Day 8:Drive Lake Mburo National Park for Evening Game Drive

Set off at 08:30am for Lake Mburo National Park. Drive through the scenic rural countryside making a stopover for lunch enroute. Arrive in the park for an evening game drive. With luck some of the big cats like leopard will be seen in addition to other big game like elephants and buffalos. You can rest abit and then opt to do a night game drive which gives you more chances of seeing the leopard.Return at the Camp at sunset and settle in for dinner and the night.

Day 9:Morning biking safari

After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy another game drive as you ride through the park to see zebra, buffalo, giraffes, elands and other mammals. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure.

Day 10:Drive to Entebbe/Kampala/Jinja

Arise in time for your breakfast, thereafter start on your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe. Enjoy the hilly terrain of the western parts of Uganda on your return journey.
Stop over at the equator for pictures before proceeding to Kampala. Arrive in the evening hours.
